What to do on the Weekend

August 1, 2013

The Spud & Chloë Fall 2013 Collection has been available for about a month now. Have you seen it popping up at your favorite LYS? Are you plotting all the things you’re going to make this season? I know Neighbor Jillian has been busily making the Cat’s Pajamas and learning many lessons. A big favorite of many of the Spud & Chloë team is the Weekender Sweater.

Weekender Sweater in Pollen

One part cozy/casual and one part feminine/flattering come together for an excellent weekend knitting project resulting in a quintessential pullover. It’s all in the details–like those extra long sleeves! And, did you notice? Our model has the Weekender Sweater layered with the Campfire Mitts in Orangutan (#7819).

Another Weekender Sweater in Barn

All Spud & Chloë patterns are knit by both the designer and a sample knitter, which means we get to see the designs in multiple palettes! Both the Pollen and Barn versions are bright and cheery, a fun pop in any wardrobe.

Sylvia’s designs are beautiful and flattering to many women, as evidenced by the Weekender Sweater and its stockinette stitch and reverse stockinette stitch sections to create an hourglass silhouette. The slipped stitch pattern, placed at the hem, cuffs, and neckline, is an extra special detail because it keeps the knitting interesting, too!

Even the crossed neckline is so feminine and flattering.

It’s easy to see why the Weekender Sweater is in many knitting queues here at Spud & Chloë World Headquarters. We’re just itching to cast on!
