Every project I want to make, every color combination I want to use, it all seems to revolve around Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca Silk – and the Rilievi Scarf is no exception!
This scarf is Embossed Lace, a technique I’d never heard of prior to seeing this scarf. What’s special about embossed lace is that, unlike most colorwork techniques, both sides of this color knitting look great.
Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca Silk + a new-to-me technique = an irresistible project.
Shown here in a monochromatic palette, but I think I would go bold! Perhaps opposite colors White (120) and Night (150) or Crabapple (147) and Peacock (139). Or just plain fun, like Peapod (141) and Blue (127)!
