Chilling Out

December 20, 2013

It’s been well below freezing for most of the Midwest, ice storms are wreaking havoc in parts of the southern states, and big snow storms are on the way for the East Coast. The winter solstice is yet to be official (one more day to go), but there’s no doubt about the winter weather. It’s cold out there!

The Whole Gang Gaiter in Spud & Chloë Outer.

Luckily we have just the project for the freezing temperatures and fast-approaching holidays: the Whole Gang Gaiter. Two hanks of Spud & Chloë Outer and an evening or two of knitting are all it takes to whip up this winter warmer.

Solid, striped, or color-blocked, this is a fast and fun project; so much so that last year I made a gaiter for each one of my coworkers.

They’ve gotten plenty of use throughout the year. Here’s Jason (he sends your favorite yarns off to your LYS), keeping warm on a fishing trip.

Remember… Spud & Chloë Outer has 24 colors to choose from, including three new colors. Who will you be knitting a Whole Gang Gaiter for and which colors will you use?
