Are you familiar with the Japanese knitting magazine amirisu? (It translates as “a squirrel that knits.”)

This lovely magazine features a minimalist aesthetic, unique stitch work, and up-and-coming designers. Each issue is just divine.

So you can imagine our delight when we learned that the Spring 2014 issue features a pretty shawl made up in Spud & Chloë Fine. Can we just say that it’s a stunner–top-down construction, ethereal lace panels, and an intriguing, but not difficult technique known as Vikkel braids.

Lace and Vikkel Braid detail.

Our version in Anemone.

It’s an engaging bit of knitting; try it for yourself in your favorite shade of Fine.
