Knitting Weather

September 30, 2009

Hi Spud & Chloë Friends,

All of the cooler weather and frost warnings have my fingers itching to knit even more than usual. There is something about the fall and knitting that will always just go together. I can feel the knitting energy out there has risen over the past week or so. It happens about this time every year. So in the spirit of fall knitting, I have a few fun projects to share that I ran across over the last couple of days. Take a look:

Look here for a couple of gorgeous little boy sweaters.

Here is a fantastic Wonderful Wallaby knit in Spud & Chloë sweater yarn.

This one is seriously cute! Look here for the sweetest dog sweater I’ve ever seen: Root Beer Float Dog Sweater.

Spud & Chloë Sweater is an incredibly versatile yarn. All of these projects are gorgeous but when you add in that the yarn is machine washable the projects go over the top in practicality. There is no worry about handknit garment care for children or dogs (they sometimes can be in the same category as far as garment treatment goes). Knit away and feel confident that your work will be worth it and will last.

Although this isn’t the best photo I want to show you how Braided is designed to have one end of the scarf threaded through the braided section on the other end. This holds the scarf in place effortlessly and it looks pretty slick. Here is the Ravelry link for Braided if you want to add the scarf to your queue for later or if you want to see what others are doing with the pattern.

In other news, there is so much going on at the Spud & Chloë headquarters right now. Today is the photo shoot for the next group of Spud & Chloë patterns soon to be released. There are loads of new and fun patterns coming up so it is an exciting time. I have a couple new toy patterns to be released in this collection that are really fun and I am anxious to see what else is cooking. I always want to knit all of the patterns. If only time was on my side…

The other news is that I got a sneak peek at some of the new colorways for Outer and Sweater! You are going to die for these new colors. To say they are gorgeous is not even enough. My daughter and I peeled open the box and the loud ooohs and aaaahs that flew out of our mouths made me laugh. We couldn’t contain ourselves. She is my partner in color crime for sure. I absolutely can’t wait to dig into the new colors. Haven’t seen the new Fine colors yet but I have heard about them. As soon as I get the go ahead I will share all of the new colors with you. Can’t wait!

Have a great day out there, Knitters.
